So — been using this thing for about a few months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an each way payout actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just guess and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows profit and total return instantly, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, which is where I’d always mess it up. What genuinely made a difference was the nerdier bits. There’s an probability thing which shows you what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m spreading across selections.
It’s not perfect mind. Its interface feels a bit basic — zero polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s usable although the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If you even now works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
