ParticipantPublicRight — been using this thing for maybe five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. Am UK based, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
How I found it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never work out what an ew return would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d eyeball it and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator tool is the one I open most — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the fiddly ones — trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know got it wrong. If you want a look, it lives at 3 way no vig calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that actually shifted things for me is the geekier tools. The odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is decent when I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. The layout is very functional, let’s say — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works but the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — slight shame but you asked.
So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

ParticipantPublicSo — have been messing about with this thing for something like five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d say something since someone asked me last week. Am UK based, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
How I found it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn’t ever figure out what an ew return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — type in your stake, the odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, fractions or decimals. There’s also the fiddly ones — trebles maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where I’d always lose track. Have a go yourself, it’s over at odds probability calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that genuinely made a difference were the nerdier tools. They’ve got an implied probability converter that shows what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator is decent when I’m covering two or three runners.
It’s not perfect mind. Its design looks very functional, let’s say — zero polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On mobile it’s usable although the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And no app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but worth saying.
So yeah. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does what it says. If you even now works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
