Right — been using this thing for about six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I couldn’t ever work out what an ew payout actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in before every slip, even a simple single bet.

Their single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you drop in the price and your stake and you get the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always lose track. If you want a look, it’s over at implied probability betting odds and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

The thing that really changed how I bet were the geekier tools. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter that shows the overround, and a kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. Its layout feels very functional, let’s say — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it’s fine although the bigger tables are a squeeze. And no proper app, just the site — fine by me but worth saying.

Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, works. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
