OK — have been messing about with this thing for something like a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d say something since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, generally bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.
How I found it was actually embarrassing — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an e/w payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. I’d just wing it and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — type in the price and your stake and it spits out the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where I always lose track. One thing that really shifted things for me were the nerdier extras. There’s an probability thing that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. Its design is very functional, let’s say — no flash, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s fine but the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.
So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, works. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
