ParticipantPublicOK — have been messing about with this thing for maybe five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d say something since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, generally do football and horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I never could work out what an e/w payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator tool is the part I use most — you put in stake and odds and it shows the return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it’s here 49s patent bet calculator — free, no signup.
The thing that actually changed how I bet was the geekier extras. There’s an implied probability thing which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit if I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout looks a bit basic — no frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s fine though the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. And nothing on the app store, just the site — fine by me but you asked.
So yeah. Free, barely any ads, works. If anyone still adds it up in their head, try it — saves me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
