OK — been on this thing for something like six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d say something since someone asked me last week. Am UK based, mostly bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I couldn’t ever get my head round what an each way return actually came to once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d eyeball it and then be surprised. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I’m on daily — type in the price and your stake and it shows the return instantly, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15s, a yankee, honestly that’s where I’d always lose track. The thing that actually made a difference is the nerdier extras. The implied probability converter which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is handy too for when I’m spreading across selections.
It’s not perfect mind. Its interface is very functional, let’s say — not much polish, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s usable though the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but you asked.
So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If you even now works out returns on a calculator app, try it — saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
