Right — been on this thing for maybe six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me a few days back. I’m in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.

How I found it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever figure out what an ew return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

The single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — type in your stake, the odds and you get the return straight away, fractions or decimals. There’s also the bigger stuff — trebles maths, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that’s where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it’s over at lucky 63 betting calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

The thing that genuinely made a difference was the geekier tools. There’s an implied probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too when I’m splitting a race.

It’s not perfect mind. Its layout feels a bit basic — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it’s fine although the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me but worth saying.

Right, that’s me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. Anyone who even now does the maths on paper, have a look — it’s saved me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
