OK — been using this thing for something like five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, generally bet football and racing, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was honestly a bit daft — I couldn’t ever work out what an each way return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just guess and moan when the payout landed. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator tool is the one I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and it spits out the return straight away, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where I’d always mess it up. What really made a difference were the geekier extras. The implied probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. Its layout feels a bit basic — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s fine although the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. And no proper app, it’s browser only — slight shame just flagging it.
Right, that’s me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
