Right — been on this thing for about four months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d write something up since a mate asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
How I found it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an ew return would be with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator tool is the one I’m on daily — you put in your stake, the odds and you get the return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. What genuinely shifted things for me is the more serious bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent when I’m splitting a race.
Not all sunshine though. The layout feels very functional, let’s say — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but you asked.
Anyway. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does the job. If anyone honestly does the maths on paper, try it — it’s saved me a fair few dumb bets I’d have regretted.
