ParticipantPublicSo — been using this thing for about four months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am based in the UK, mainly do football and horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.
How I found it was actually a bit daft — I never could work out what an e/w payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just guess and moan when the payout landed. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator tool is the part I’m on daily — you drop in stake and odds and it spits out profit and total return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, yankees, which is where I always mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s here 4 fold bet calculator — free, no signup.
The thing that really made a difference were the nerdier extras. They’ve got an probability thing and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is decent when I’m spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. The layout feels pretty plain — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s fine but the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — slight shame but you asked.
So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone still does the maths on paper, try it — it’s saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
