Right — been on this thing for about five months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d write something up since someone asked me the other day. I’m in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was honestly a bit daft — I never could work out what an ew payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d guess and then be surprised. Now type the odds in before every slip, even the boring singles.
The single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows profit and total return instantly, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always got it wrong. What really changed how I bet were the geekier tools. There’s an probability calculator which shows you how much the bookie’s taking, plus a kelly tool — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too for when I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. The layout feels very functional, let’s say — not much flash, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s fine though the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — fine by me just flagging it.
So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who still works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
