ParticipantPublicSo — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, just so you know where I’m coming from.
What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I couldn’t ever figure out what an ew return would be once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the one I use most — type in the price and your stake and you get profit and total return straight away, fractions or decimals. It also handles the multiples — trebles returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know got it wrong. If you want a look, it’s here exchange betting calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
What actually shifted things for me is the more serious bits. The implied probability converter that shows what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly staking tool — I use half kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutching one is handy too if I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. The design is pretty plain — no polish, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it works though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And no app, just the site — fine by me but worth saying.
So yeah. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. Anyone who even now works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
