So — been using this thing for maybe six months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d say something since a mate asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
What got me on it was honestly a bit daft — I couldn’t ever figure out what an ew payout would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I type the odds in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the part I use most — you put in your stake, the odds and you get profit and total return instantly, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, yankees, honestly that’s where most people I know got it wrong. What genuinely made a difference were the nerdier bits. They’ve got an probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, and a kelly staking calculator — I stick to fractional kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit for when I’m spreading across selections.
It’s not perfect mind. The design is very functional, let’s say — not much polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. On my phone it’s fine though the lucky 63 breakdown make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but worth saying.
Anyway. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If anyone still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it’s saved me plenty of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
