Right — been on this thing for maybe a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, mainly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could figure out what an e/w payout actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out the return with no faffing, either odds format. It also handles the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, and that’s where most people I know mess it up. One thing that really made a difference were the nerdier tools. There’s an implied probability converter that shows how much the bookie’s taking, and a kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m covering two or three runners.
It’s not perfect mind. The design looks a bit basic — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it’s fine but the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. And no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.
So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does what it says. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
