OK — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.
What got me on it was genuinely embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an ew return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I’d just wing it and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
The single bet calculator is the one I open most — you put in stake and odds and you get profit and total return instantly, fractions or decimals. There’s also the multiples — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where I’d always mess it up. One thing that actually made a difference was the more serious tools. They’ve got an implied probability converter that shows the overround, and there’s the kelly calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is handy too if I’m spreading across selections.
Not all sunshine though. The interface feels very functional, let’s say — not much frills, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works although the acca grid are a squeeze. And no app, it’s browser only — fine by me but you asked.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, barely any ads, does what it says. If anyone still adds it up in their head, try it — it’s saved me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
