ParticipantPublicOK — have been messing about with this thing for something like six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, reckon I’d write something up since a mate asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, generally stick to footie and the horses, small stakes, for context.
How I found it was actually embarrassing — I could never work out what an ew return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d guess and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in stake and odds and you get profit and total return instantly, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, yankees, which is where most people I know mess it up. Have a go yourself, it’s here matched betting profit calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.
One thing that genuinely changed how I bet was the nerdier bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly since full stakes are a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit for when I’m spreading across selections.
It’s not perfect mind. The layout feels a bit basic — not much flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it works although the bigger tables need a bit of scrolling. There’s nothing on the app store, just the site — slight shame but you asked.
Anyway. Doesn’t cost anything, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone even now adds it up in their head, try it — saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
