So — been on this thing for about six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since someone asked me the other day. I’m UK based, generally stick to footie and the horses, nothing mad, for context.
What got me on it was actually pretty stupid — I never could work out what an e/w return actually came to with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — you drop in stake and odds and you get profit and total return with no faffing, either odds format. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, honestly that’s where I always got it wrong. The thing that actually made a difference is the nerdier extras. There’s an probability calculator that shows what margin’s baked in, plus a kelly staking tool — I run quarter kelly as the full version is a quick route to a dead bankroll. The dutch tool is decent for when I’m splitting a race.
It’s not perfect mind. Its interface feels pretty plain — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. Also there’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame but worth saying.
So yeah. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, have a look — saved me plenty of arguments with the bookie.
