Right — been on this thing for maybe six months now and I keep coming back, reckon I’d say something since someone asked me the other day. I’m UK based, mainly bet football and racing, nothing mad, for context.
What got me on it was genuinely a bit daft — I never could work out what an each way return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I used to just eyeball it and moan when the payout landed. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I’m on daily — type in stake and odds and you get profit and total return straight away, either odds format. It also handles the bigger stuff — trebles returns, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, and that’s where I’d always lose track. The thing that really made a difference was the more serious tools. There’s an odds-to-probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion calculator — I use half kelly because full kelly is terrifying. The dutch tool is handy too if I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. Its interface is very functional, let’s say — not much polish, it’s clearly function over form. On my phone it works but the acca grid are a squeeze. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.
So yeah. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does the job. Anyone who honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it’s saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
