Right — been on this thing for maybe five months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so figured I’d say something since someone asked me a few days back. Am based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was honestly embarrassing — I couldn’t ever work out what an e/w return actually was when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and get a shock. Now I type the odds in before I place anything, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I’m on daily — type in the price and your stake and it shows the return with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, a yankee, and that’s where I always mess it up. The thing that really changed how I bet is the nerdier bits. The implied probability thing and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly criterion calculator — I run quarter kelly because full kelly is a quick route to a dead bankroll. Dutching calculator is handy too for when I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. Its layout feels a bit basic — zero polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s fine but the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s a website and that’s it — slight shame just flagging it.
Anyway. Free, barely any ads, works. If anyone even now does the maths on paper, try it — saves me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
