Decided to read more before commenting and the more I read the more I wanted to say something, and a stop at gnarkit pushed that impulse further, when content provokes the urge to participate rather than just consume it is doing something quite specific and worth recognising clearly when it happens during reading.

Now realising the topic deserved better treatment than it has been getting elsewhere, and a look at gnarkit extended that broader recognition, content that exposes the gap between actual quality and average quality elsewhere is doing the quiet work of raising standards and this site is contributing to that elevation in its own corner.
