ParticipantPublicSo — been on this thing for something like five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so figured I’d say something since a mate asked me a few days back. I’m UK based, mainly bet football and racing, nothing mad, for context.
How I found it was genuinely a bit daft — I could never work out what an e/w return would be once you get five places instead of three. I’d just guess and get a shock. These days I punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
The single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you put in the price and your stake and you get returns with no faffing, either odds format. There’s also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, and that’s where I always lose track. If you fancy a poke about, it lives at european odds converter — free, no signup.
The thing that really shifted things for me was the more serious extras. They’ve got an probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is decent if I’m covering two or three runners.
Couple of gripes. Its interface is very functional, let’s say — no frills, it’s clearly function over form. On mobile it’s fine though the bigger tables are a squeeze. And nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — slight shame but you asked.
Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does the job. If you even now does the maths on paper, try it — it’s saved me a fair few “wait, that’s it?” moments.
