OK — been using this thing for something like a few months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I’m based in the UK, generally do football and horses, a fiver here and there, for context.
The reason I started using it was genuinely a bit daft — I never could figure out what an each way return actually came to when the place terms changed. I used to just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now I stick my stake in before every slip, even the boring singles.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I’m on daily — you put in stake and odds and it shows returns with no faffing, fractional or decimal, doesn’t matter. There’s also the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, which is where I always lose track. The thing that genuinely made a difference is the geekier bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is terrifying. The dutching one is decent when I’m covering two or three runners.
It’s not perfect mind. The layout looks very functional, let’s say — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it’s usable though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. Also there’s nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me but you asked.
So yeah. Costs nowt, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. Anyone who honestly does the maths on paper, give it a go — saves me a fair few arguments with the bookie.
