ParticipantPublicRight — been using this thing for maybe five months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d say something since a mate asked me last week. I’m based in the UK, mostly do football and horses, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I never could work out what an each way return actually was once you get five places instead of three. I’d just eyeball it and then be surprised. Now stick my stake in before every slip, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator is the part I’m on daily — type in stake and odds and it spits out the return with no faffing, either odds format. Same tool covers the bigger stuff — acca and treble maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, which is where I always mess it up. If you want a look, it’s over at outplayed calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.
One thing that actually made a difference were the more serious bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability converter that shows what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking calculator — I run quarter kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is handy too when I’m splitting a race.
Couple of gripes. The layout is a bit basic — zero flash, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And no proper app, just the site — fine by me but you asked.
Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, works. If you honestly adds it up in their head, try it — saves me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
